The high-level meeting took place at the Office of the Vice President (Rector) of the University of Cantabria to officially activate the bilateral agreement. Representing Dambi Dollo University, Dr. Taddese Regassa (President) and Dr. Reda Nemo (Vice President) participated in productive discussions with their Spanish counterparts to lay the groundwork for immediate cooperation.

    During the sessions, both institutions finalized the core operational areas of their academic alliance to ensure mutual growth. The two universities formally agreed to launch collaborative initiatives focusing on academic experience sharing, student and staff mobility training, and joint research projects. These programs are designed to facilitate a dynamic transfer of knowledge and resources, directly benefiting the faculty and student bodies of both campuses.

The agreement was formally executed by Dr. Reda Namo, Vice President for Academic Affairs and President's Delegate, on behalf of Dambi Dollo University, and Dr. Tesfaye Lemma, President of Wollega University. This landmark agreement sets a formal framework for long-term institutional cooperation, aligning both universities toward shared educational and developmental goals in the region.

    The primary objective of this MoU is to foster mutual growth through robust academic, research, and community-driven initiatives.     In a major advancement aimed at improving the higher education system in Ethiopia, Dambi Dollo University (DaDU) has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with all 21 comprehensive public universities in the country. The President of Dambi Dollo University, Tadesse Regassa (PhD), emphasized the Memorandum of Understanding's (MoU) transformative potential agreement represents more than just signatures on a document; it is a commitment to shaping Ethiopia's future through shared goals and collective knowledge. By uniting our strengths, we can accomplish significantly more collectively than any single institution could achieve independently.

    This unique agreement creates a formal, nationwide collaborative framework aimed at: academic collaboration, joint research initiatives, the exchange of best practices in educational quality, and a collective effort to achieve national excellence throughout the country.     Dambi Dollo University Offers Training for Capacity Building

    Leadership Training is being offered to the Directors, Executives and Deans of Dambi Dollo University at Adama, focusing on: STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP TRAINING. 

    The president of the university, Tadesse Regassa (PhD), remarked at the opening ceremony that all participants who have completed the training ought to implement what they are trained in alignment with their respective plans, ensuring that our university excels in the future. To advance our university, it is our collective responsibility to achieve the vision and missions of the institution by putting the training into practice.

    The training was conducted by Ahadu G/Amlak, the Managing Director of CALD (Center for African Leadership Development), alongside Aneni Assefa, a Senior Trainer at CALD.

    The focus areas for today's training include:

    • General facts and principles of change

    • The imperative of leadership 

    • Changes and paradigms and mind –set shifts 

    The training delivery methods included lectures and various practical exercises, with participants actively involved in the session.

    University Academic Research Technology Transfer and Community Service V/ President Reda Nemo (PhD) stated in his opening speech that the establishment of Dambi Dollo University Teachers’ Association (DaDUTA) symbolizes a shared commitment to enhancing educational quality, research productivity, and the comprehensive academic objectives of Dambi Dollo University.

    The establishment of DaDUTA took place in the presence of Dr. Dembelash Mengistu, the Vice President of Teachers Association of Ethiopian Universities, who provided a clear clarification regarding the establishment of teachers' associations.

    Outstanding Success!

    Dambi Dollo University proudly announces that all grade 12 students from its special secondary school, Nagaso Gidada, have achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate in the national examination for the second round.

    The top scores at the institution were attained by Kaku Terfasa, who achieved 539 out of 600, followed by Burka Asfaw with 527, Kemeru Tofik with 527, Latu Alemu with 505, and the lowest score recorded is 420. Dambi Dollo University is dedicated to empowering generations and will continue its mission to deliver quality education while producing educated professionals for the nations. 

    Tadesse Regassa(PhD), the president of the university, stated that this achievement marks a major milestone for both the institution and the country. In addition, he expressed his sincere gratitude to all who played a role in nurturing this empowered generation, noting that this success serves as a gift for all.

    Dambi Dollo University has conferred degrees to students who have successfully completed both undergraduate and graduate programs across a range of disciplines.

    The University held its 6th round of a vibrant graduation ceremony, celebrating 2,123 students who were educated in different departments, marking the achievement of thousands of students who have successfully completed their studies and passed the exit examination.
     
    The graduation ceremony took place in the university's auditorium, which is presently undergoing construction. It was attended by officials from the federal government and the Qellem Wallaga Zone, as well as representatives from the Dambi Dollo town municipality, university leaders, members of the university senate, faculty and administrative staff, elders, parents of the graduates, graduating students, religious leaders, Abbootii Gadaa, Haadha siinqee, and other invited guests.
     
    The ceremony included speeches from the university’s acting president, Tadesse Regassa (PhD), and university’s board chairperson, Mr. Belayhun Yirga, who praised the students for their dedication and urged them to contribute to the development of Ethiopia. Cultural performances, music, and joyful dances enhanced the festive atmosphere.
     
    Dambi Dollo University remains instrumental in cultivating the future leaders of Ethiopia .

The MoU is designed to strengthen partnerships in areas such as research, technology transfer, and skills development, all aimed at improving Ethiopia’s manufacturing landscape. The agreement outlines several key areas of collaboration, including:
    - Research and technological transfer
    - Community service projects
    - training and students’ internship
    - Development of expertise in material sciences, chemical and mechanical engineering industrial research projects and etc.
     
    At the signing ceremony, Miressa Amenu (Asst.prof), Director of Public and International Relations at DaDU, emphasized the university's commitment to producing industry-ready graduates and contributing to the nation's development, underscoring the need for this Memorandum of Understanding to be implemented effectively.
     
    Professor Dr. Krishnaraj also mentioned that this partnership will help close the gap between academic education and the manufacturing sector, providing our students with hands-on skills that support the country's economic growth.
     
    MIDI representatives highlighted the importance of these partnerships in promoting Ethiopia's industrialization initiatives. Milkessa Jagema(PhD), the director general, stated that working with organizations such as DaDU enables us to utilize local talent and innovation, thereby improving productivity and competitiveness in the manufacturing industry.
     
    This partnership marks a milestone in DaDU’s efforts to align its academic programs with industry needs, reinforcing its role as a key player in Ethiopia’s socio-economic development.

    Dambi Dollo University School of Law has been warded a project grant certificate by the United Nations.
    Dambi Dollo University School of Law has been awarded a project grant certificate by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with funding from the European Union (EU). The project, titled “Improved Access to Quality Free Legal Aid Services in the Ethiopian Criminal Justice System,” aims to enhance and broaden the university's free legal aid services, specifically targeting the Ethiopian criminal justice system.
    A formal agreement was established between Dambi Dollo University and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Ms. Ashita Mittal, the UNODC Regional Representative for East Africa, represented the UNODC and presented the grant certificate to Dr. Tadesse Regassa, the President of Dambi Dollo University.
    The main goal of the project is to improve access to justice for vulnerable populations, such as women, children, detained individuals, and other marginalized groups in the Kellem and West Wellega Zones. This initiative will be carried out over a period of 16 months and aims to raise legal awareness in the targeted communities. It will provide legal advice; assist in drafting legal documents, and offer court representation for both civil and criminal matters to specific groups within these communities.

    በጉብኝታቸዉ ወቅትም የዩኒቨርሲቲዉ ሞዴል ትምህርት ቤት የሆነዉ የዶ/ር ነጋሶ ግዳዳ ልዩ ትምህርት ቤትን ስጎበኙ የትምህርት ጥራትን ለማሻሻል እየተሰራ ያለዉ ስራ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ተወዳዳሪ እንድሆኑ እያደረጋቸዉ ነዉ ያሉት ፕሮፌሰሩ ተማሪዎችም ለተሸለ እዉቀት መመራመርና ማንበብ እንደምጠበቅባቸዉ ጠቁመዉ ለበለጠ እዉቀት የምተጋ ትዉልድን ማፍራት አለብን ብለዋል፡፡ በተጨማሪም የኢትዮጵያ ልጆች ከልጂነታቸዉ ጀምረዉ እንድተዋወቁና አንድነታቸዉን የምያጠናክር የአዳሪ ትምህርት ቤቶችን በሃገር ደረጃ በመገንባት ከሁሉም የአገርቱ ክፍል የተወጣጡ ልጆች በአንድ ትምህርትቤት የምማሩበት እድል እንፈጥራለን ብለዋል፡፡
     
    የኦሮሚያ ትምህርት ቢሮ ሃላፍ፣ ዶ/ር ቶላ በሪሶ በበኩላቸዉ ለትምህርት ጥራት ቅድሚያ በመስጠት የአካዳሚክ ብቃትና ጠንካራ ስነምግባር ያላቸውን ተማሪዎች ለማፍራት እና ለሀገር እድገት አስፈላጊ የሆነውን የሰው ሃይል በማልማት ላይ ትምህርት ቤቶች የበኩላቸውን አስተዋፅኦ ማበርከት እንዳለባቸዉ አመልክተዋል።
     
    ከዚህ በተጨማሪም በዩኒቨርሲቲው የተቀናጀ የግብርና ምርምር ማዕከሉ ዉስጥ እየተሠሩ ያሉ የልማት ቱሩፋቶች በተለያዩ አትክልትና ፍራፍሬዎች፣ በእንሰት ምርት፣ በእንሰሳት እርባታ በዓሣ ምርት፣እና በሌሎችም ማህበረሰቡን ተጠቃሚ እደረገ ያለዉ ተስፋ ሰጪና አበረታች መሆኑንና ዩኒቨርሲቲዉ በምግብ ግባዓቶች ራሱን ለመቻል ጥረት እያደረገ መሆኑንም ተመልክቷል፡

    የደምቢ ዶሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ተ/ፕሬዚዳንት ታደሰ ረጋሳ(ፒኤች.ዲ) እንኳን ወደ ደምቢ ዶሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በሠላም መጣችሁ በማለት የትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ከፍተኛ አመራሮችን በዩኒቨርሲቲው በአካል በመገኘታቸው መደሰታቸውን ገልጸው የዩኒቨርሲቲው ወቅታዊ ሁነታ፣ እየተከናወኑ ያሉ ተግባራት እና የወደፊት አቅጣጫዎች ላይ ለመወያየት እንዲሁም አስፈላጊ ድጋፍና ክትትል መስጠት ለዩኒቨርሲቲዉ አስፈላጊ መሆኑን አጽንኦት ሰጥተዋል።
     
    በዩኒቨርሲቲው የአካ/ም/ቴ/ሽ/ና ማ/አ/ም/ፕሬዝዳንት ተወካይ ረዳ ነሞ(ፒኤች.ዲ) ደምቢ ዶሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የተጣለበትን አገራዊ ተልዕኮ ለመወጣት እየተሠሩ ያሉ ሥዎችንና ያጋጠሙትን መሰናክሎች አስመልክቶ ገለጻ አድርገዋል። በገለፃቸውም ዩኒቨርሲቲው በማስተማር፣ በምርምርና በማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት እያደረገ ያለውን ጥረት፣ እንዲሁም የመሰረተ ልማት ግንባታውንና ያጋጠሙትን ተግዳሮቶች ጠቁመዋል። የክትትልና ተጠያቂነትን ማረጋገጥ አስፈላጊ ከመሆኑ ጋር በቂና ውጤታማ ድጋፍ እንደሚያስፈልግ አስገንዝበዋል።
     
    በውይይቱም የኢፊዲሪ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ሚኒስቴር ፒሮፌሴር ብርሃኑ ነጋ እንደተናገሩት ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ለመማር፣ ለማስተማር እና ለምርምር የተሰጡ ተቋማት ሆነው በመንቀሳቀስ እውነተኛ የእውቀት ማዕከል ሆነው ማገልገል እንዳለባቸው አሳስበዋል። በዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ውስጥ የአመራር፣ የአስተሳሰብና አጠቃላይ የባህል ለውጥ እንደሚያስፈልግ ጠቁመው፣ የአመራር መዋቅርን ለመቀየር ከወዲሁ ጥረት መደረጉን ጠቁመዋል። ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የህብረተሰቡን ህይወት ለመለወጥ እና አገራዊ ችግሮችን ለመፍታት የአካባቢያቸውን ጠንካራ ጎን በመገንዘብ አግባብነት ባለው ጥናትና ምርምር ላይ በመሳተፍ ወሳኝ ሚና እንዳላቸው አስረድተዋል። በዚህ ጠቃሚ ተግባር የአካዳሚክ ምሁራን ኃላፊነታቸውን እንዲወጡ አሳስበዋል።
     
    በትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ልማት ዘርፍ የአስተዳደራዊ ጉዳዮች መሪ ሥራ አስፈፃሚ ሰለሞን አብርሃ (ዶ/ር) በዩኒቨርሲቲው ክትትል ወቅት የተለዩትን ጥንካሬዎችና ማሻሻያ የሚሹ ጉዳዮችን ለውይይት መነሻ አቅርበዋል። አዲስ የተወከሉ አመራሮች የተጀመሩት ሥራዎችን በጥንቃቄ በመገምገም የትምህርት ጥራትን የሚያጎለብቱ ጉዳዮችን በማስቀደም ትኩረት ሰጥቶ መስራት እንዳለባቸዉ አሳስበዋል።
     
    የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ልማት ዘርፍ ሚኒስትር ዴኤታ አቶ ኮራ ቱሹኔ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ሀብታቸውን ውጤታማ በሆነ መንገድ ለመጠቀም ቁልፍ ጉዳዮችን በመለየት በተደራጀ መንገድ መፍታት አስፈላጊ መሆኑን አጽንኦት ሰጥተዋል። አዲሱ አመራር ለትምህርት ጥራት ማሳደግ ቅድሚያ ሊሰጠው እንደሚገባም አሳስበዋል። በተጨማሪም ዩኒቨርሲቲው የሚያደርጋቸውን የሚደነቁ ተግባራት አምነው ተቋሙ የሚያጋጥሙትን ተግዳሮቶች ለመፍታት በትምህርት ሚኒስቴርና በዩኒቨርሲቲው ቦርድ መካከል ያለው የተሻሻለ ቅንጅት ወሳኝ መሆኑን ጠቁመዋል።
     
    የዉይይቱ ተሳታፊዎች ባነሱት ሃሳብ የደምቢ ዶሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ 4ኛ ትውልድ ዩኒቨርሲቲ መሆኑን ጠቅሰዉ በተለያዩ ተግዳሮቶችን ተቋቁሞ የመማር ማስተማር፣የማህበረሰብ አገልግሎትና ጥናትና ምርምሮችን እያከናወነ መሆኑን ተናግረዋል። በመሆኑም ከነባር ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ደረጃ መታየት እንደለለበት እና የትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ቀጣይነት ያለው ድጋፍ ሊያደርግ ይገባል ብለዋል።
    በመጨረሻም የዩኒቨርሲቲው ተ/ፕሬዝዳንት ታደሰ ረጋሳ(ፒኤች.ዲ) በትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ከፍተኛ የስራ ኃላፊዎች ተሳትፎ ወሳኝ የሆኑ ድጋፎችን ለማድረግና ተጠያቂነትን ለማስፈን ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ እንዳለው በመግለጽ የአመራር ሽግግሩን ተከትሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲው የትምህርት ጥራት ፕሮግራሞችን በማሳደግ ላይ በትኩረት እየሠራ መሆኑንም ጠቁመዋል። 
     
    በተጨማሪም የዩኒቨርሲቲውን ተልእኮ ወደሚፈልገው የላቀ ደረጃ ለማድረስ አካሄዳችንንና አሰራሮቻችንን በማሻሻል አቅማችንን በተሟላ ሁኔታ መጠቀም ይጠበቃል ብለዋል።

    Mid-Term Exit Examination Concluded was successfully completed.

    Mid-year exit exam was successfully completed
    The mid-year exit examination at Dambi Dollo University, conducted over a continuous five-day period, has been successfully completed.
     
    This achievement was greatly facilitated by the involvement of Mr. Tamirat Kebede, a senior expert in higher education monitoring and evaluation from the Ministry of Education, along with the university's ICT team, examination supervisors, various levels of university administration, invigilators, campus and federal security forces, as well as the PIR team and power generator suppliers.

    Dambi Dollo University extends a warm welcome to students enrolled in the Remedial Program.
    A ceremony was conducted to greet the students assigned to the University for the 2017 academic year within this program. The event was graced by the presence of the University President, Vice-Presidents, and various leaders from different levels, all of whom delivered congratulatory messages to the students and expressed their best wishes for a successful academic year.

    ደምቢ ዶሎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ከትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ጋር ስራን በውጤታማነት ለመፈጸም የሚያስችል የስራ ውል ስምምነት (Performance Contracting Agreement) መፈራረሙን ተከትሎ በዛሬዉ እለት ማለትም ታህሳስ 21/2017 ዓ.ም ሁለቱ ም/ፕሬዝዳንቶች ከፕሬዝዳንቱ ጋር ከተፈራረሙ በኃላ ከዳይሬክቴሮች፣ከሥራ አስፋጻሚዎች እና ከዲኖች ጋርም ቁልፍ የአፈፃፀም አመላካቾች ተግባራዊና ዉጤታማ የምሆንበት ላይ ስምምነት ተፈራርሟል፡፡
     
    በስምምነቱ ሥነ-ሥርዓት ላይ በመገኘት የመክፈቻ ንግግር ያደረጉት የአካዳሚክ፣ ምርምር፣ ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር እና ማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት ም/ፕሬዝዳንት ተወካይ የሆኑት ዶ/ር ረዳ ነሞ እንደተናገሩት የቁልፍ የአፈፃፀም አመላካቾች(Key Performance Indicators) ስምምነት ዩኒቨርሲቲያችን በሀገር አቀፍም ሆነ በአለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ተወዳዳሪና ጠንካራ ተቋም እንዲሆን ይረደናል ብለዋል ።
     
    ቁልፍ የአፈጻጸም አመልካቾችን ዓላማ፣ ይዘት፣ ክትትልና የትግበራ ሂደቶች ላይ ለተሳታፍዎች አጭር ገለጻ ያቀረቡት ደግሞ የስራቴጂክ ጉዳዮች ሥራ አስፈጻሚ የሆኑት አቶ ጨራ በቀለ ስሆኑ ቁልፍ የአፈጻጸም አመልካቾች በማንና በምን ስልት ልተገበር እንደምቹሉ አብራርቷል ፡፡ ከገለጻው በኋላ አስተያየታቸውን እና ምክረ ሃሳባቸውን ያካፈሉ ተሳታፍዎቹ በሃላፊነት እና በጽናት በመሥራት የዩኒቨርሲቲዉን እቅድ በተሳካ ሁኔታ ማሳካት እንደምቻል ገልጸዋል።

    Currently, the college is developing innovative website for the university aimed at promoting its activities and attributes on a global scale. Inline to this, the college has officially certified the teachers who participated in the hands-on tailor-made training focused on the “Learning Management System”.
     
    During the certificate ceremony, Dr. Leta Tesfaye, the president of Dambi Dollo University, emphasized the importance of such platforms in enhancing the professionalism of teachers. He noted that the subject of the "Learning Management System" is particularly significant for all teachers, and the university is committed to providing further training for its faculty in partnership with ET Oline College.
     
    Dr. Habtamu Melese, the President of ET Online College, stated that the Ethiopian Ministry of Education is currently concentrating on e-SHE initiatives and administrating national exams online, aligning to the national agenda on digital transformation of Ethiopia. He stated that the online teaching and learning process is gaining international recognition, and our college is committed to developing this globally acknowledged platform in collaboration with the university.

    As a result of their visit, they observed poultry, dairy farming, fish breeding, vegetable and fruit production, as well as pig farming at the University. They witnessed that these are expected to contribute substantially to the growth of the national economy and aid in stabilizing market inflation. The tour also included a visit to the STEM center and other facilities, showcasing the profound influence that continuous innovations will have on the progression of technology.
    This hands-on experience is expected to enhance the quality of education across schools and higher education institutions. Finally, interactive learning opportunity is anticipated to elevate the standard of education in both schools and higher education establishments. Finally, it is unanimously acknowledged that the sharing of valuable experiences significantly contributes to the attainment of educational objectives and the improvement of quality education.
