Dambi Dollo University today welcomed more than 2,100 students assigned by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Dr. Leta Tesfaye, President of Dambi Dollo University, and other senior officials of the University, Mayor of Dambi Dollo town, Mr.Tolosa Kumsa, Kellem Wellega Zone Security Office Head, Tesema Wario, Abbaa Gadaas and religious leaders attended and delivered a welcome message to the students.
Dambi Dollo University is working on a variety of development projects in addition to preventing the spread of the Corona virus. Asphalt work for the interior of the University, decoration of the courtyard, fisheries and recreation center project works are some of the activities taking place in the University.

The health centers set up in the respective districts have been given two different stages in order to recognize the seriousness of the virus and allow them to discharge their responsibility more quickly than usual.
Dambi Dollo University holds talks with stakeholders to intensify efforts on preventing coronavirus outbreakThe university has discussed issues relevant to curbing the spread of corona virus with stakeholders from all the districts in the Kellem Wollega Zone. In his opening remarks, the University President Dr. Leta Tesfaye initiated the discussion by explaining the main aims of the discussion. The discussion was chaired by distinguished guests, Dr. Sanbata Gutata and Dr. Nagasa Kasa, who are currently serving at the Black Lion Specialty Hospital.
Dambi Dollo University which has been established with its motto of”Empowering generations” has promoted seven teachers to the rank of Assistant professor after the Senate of the University evaluated the candidates’ contributions in teaching learning activities and researches they have made in and beyond the University.
