    Dambi Dollo University Established Teachers’ Association

    In a significant step towards enhancing academic quality and supporting the professional interests and rights of the academic community, Dambi Dollo University has officially launched the University's Teachers' Association today.

    The official ceremony for the establishment, which took place at the university, was graced by the presence of university officials, deans, and representatives from the teachers. This event signifies an important advancement in the effort to organize the university's educators into a cohesive entity that will promote their interests and aid in the development of the institution.

    University Academic Research Technology Transfer and Community Service V/ President Reda Nemo (PhD) stated in his opening speech that the establishment of Dambi Dollo University Teachers’ Association (DaDUTA) symbolizes a shared commitment to enhancing educational quality, research productivity, and the comprehensive academic objectives of Dambi Dollo University.

    The establishment of DaDUTA took place in the presence of Dr. Dembelash Mengistu, the Vice President of Teachers Association of Ethiopian Universities, who provided a clear clarification regarding the establishment of teachers' associations.

    Nine candidates presented their strategic plans at the establishment of the teachers' association today at Dambi Dollo University. After their presentations, the committee meticulously evaluated their results, and the individuals listed below were elected democratically.

    1. Benti Mekonnen(Asst. Professor) – President 
    2. Mr. Degefu Gebissa – Vice president and communication 
    3. Girma Gudina – Secretary 
    4. Dr. Kirubel Pawulos – Head, research, training and scholarship 
    5. Mrs. Gamade Ganamo – Gender Affairs and secretary 
    6. Mrs. Gadise Itafa – auditor.
