    Registration

    Registration is the initial gateway to be an eligible student of Dambi Dollo University. All students must register to be able to get any student service and attend classes at our university. Registration requests can be processed in person. Students are expected to comply with the following registration protocols and procedures.

    After student is admitted to one of the programs of the university, the next activity to do is registration for a set of modules/courses in that particular program.

    Student who fails to commit continuous registration without officially withdrawing from a program shall be considered to have dropped out of the program during the given academic year.

    Registration will be conducted at the office of the registrar.

    During registration, students are expected to comply with the following registration protocols and procedures:

    Student, whose application for admission to a program is accepted, can be registered according to the academic calendar.

    The registration slips should be completed and signed by the advisor.

    Student will not be allowed to take courses (modules and other learning materials) without completing registration formalities.

    Student must take the pre‐requisite(s) before he/she registers for an advanced course.

    Student shall pay for the courses listed in the registration slip and, present the cash receipt along with the forms to the respective center/office.

    Student shall complete a registration form in triplicate. The student must submit the slips to the registrar office and get the “REGISTERED” stamp on them. The first copy shall be given to the student, the second to the department and the third shall be filled in the student record at the Registrar office.

    By no means credit shall be given for courses for which the student is not registered even if grades have been submitted.

    Registration has to be done every semester, unless there is an exception.

    Late Registration

    To accommodate students who misses registration dates for a valid reason we usually provide a couple of days (maximum of two) days for late registration after the regular registration dates are closes during the regular, evening or Kiremt semester. This time is primarily meant to complete oversights during the registration time. Late registration may be subject to a penalty fee. The steps followed are similar to those identified in the Registration section above.

    Add and Drop

    Course Add and drop is a core academic activity student is expected to genuinely observe while registering for modules/courses or dropping those modules/courses the student registered for during the normal registration time. 

    Thus, usually, we manage it as an opportunity given to the student to settle any possible mishap occurred during the normal registration period and it will be handled in consultation with and permission of the academic advisor of the student/head of the program.

    Course Add and drops are done on a form prepared for the purpose and the form should be collected from the registrar office.

    The date of add/drop should be completed within three weeks from the date of registration.
