Replacing a lost academic document can be a bit stressful, but the process is usually straightforward if it happens. For our former students we work day and night to ensure that they will be able to get their lost/ damaged academic credential get replaced at fingertip. Here are the general steps you can follow: To replace a lost, damaged, or destroyed degree certificate, follow these steps:
Fill in the application form: This form includes a signed declaration. The applicant must thoroughly fill the form prepared for this services.
Pay the Service fee: There is a fee associated with the replacement. So you are requested to settle the service charge before the replacement document processed by the office of the registrar.
Lost certificate: Report the loss to the police and obtain a confirmation letter. Provide evidence letter from the Police office/legal authority found in your vicinity to rectify that the document was really lost.
Damaged certificate: Return the remains of the damaged certificate. In case the original document found with you got damaged by any means and the visual appearance and content of the original document misplaced, ripped away and or the document was totally useless because of such damage, the piece of the original document must be returned to the office of the registrar accompanied by evidences aforementioned.
To obtain official transcript you need to contact the registrar office and fulfill the following preconditions.
Payment for international students-----ETB/$
Payment for Ethiopian Nationals-----ETB/$
Written Application/duly filled form
ID card or Official Delegation letter from Authorized body
If you have a cost-share agreement you need to settle the payment first and bring with the original letter and receipt you received from the Custom and internal revenue authority.
In case you have completed your mandatory service obligation, you need to bring official letter from Custom and internal revenue authority indicating that you have properly discharged your service obligation.
