In our university, student-led clubs and associations are an integral part of the teaching and learning processes. In our case, we believe academic experience is enhanced by genuine engagement and active participation in extracurricular activities that allow students to pursue their personal interests beyond the classroom widening the chance of an exposure to diverse real-world environments.
Whether it is arts, science, technology, business, natural resource, culture, history or social, there is always a place for all students’ attachment based on their interests.
In DaDU, there are various clubs and associations established by students from diversified departments that bring students together to share topics of mutual interest and actively participate and socialize with university environments. These clubs often serve as an important adjunct to course work by sponsoring social events and lectures.
Most often clubs are affiliated with a particular department. Although many clubs welcome the participation of students from other departments, some only allow membership from within that particular school, for instance art and theatrical clubs are usually composed of students from similar affiliate departments, while clubs such as campus peace, health advocates, sports and recreations are multi-departmental by nature.
To engage in any active club found in our university, it is very easy and the only pre-conditions are student's interest and personal motivation to choose and apply for membership. Students who have an interest to join any of students' club, are expected to fulfill the procedural requirements indicated on the forms prepared for this purpose.
In case students have the motivation and competence, they can join multiple clubs, as far as they can properly manage their time without affecting their academic engagement. Student councils and in most case the Vice Dean of student service in collaboration academic leaders will facilitate students' membership procedures.
