Fist of I would like to say well come to the college of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine is one of the colleges of Dambi Dollo University which starts teaching and learning process in2017 with the vision to be one of the leading college in agriculture and center of excellence in teaching, research and community engagement in Ethiopia by 2027. To do so we are teaching and train students who will be competent in the profession of Agricultural Economics, Plant Sciences, Animal and Range Sciences and Natural Resource Management and conduct research in the area of Agriculture and Natural Resources that enables efficient utilization of available resources, conserve natural resource, poverty reduction and provide community services among the farming community is the objective of the college.

 

 

About the College

1. Background

Dambi Dollo University College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine was established in 2017. The College resumed functioning as one College of Dambi Dollo University. College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine has a vision to be Model College from all existing colleges of Dambi Dollo University by teaching and learning, research and community service. Currently, the college has 32 academic staffs, 241 students in regular, 122 students in weekend program, and totally 363 students. In the future the college wants to work in collaboration with different institutions and organization.

 

2. Vision

The vision of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine is to be a center of excellence in teaching, research and community engagement in Agriculture Economics, Animal and Range Sciences, Natural Resource Management and Plant Sciences studies in Ethiopia and beyond through efficient utilization of available resources.

 

3. Mission

The mission of the College is to produce highly qualified professionals in Agricultural Economics, Animal and Range Sciences, Natural Resource Management and Plant sciences through rigorous theoretical and practical education and to develop and disseminate problem solving agricultural production technologies through conducting demand-driven research in Ethiopia.
